No Credibility

The introduction of #ArtificialIntelligence into everyday life marks the begin of the end of the internet as we know it: any digital content can be altered, therefore forged, and nothing can any longer be considered credible a priori. #DigitalCredibility

Was artificial intelligence fed to the people, or were the people fed to artificial intelligence? Considering that we will never be made aware of the truths that drive large corporations—always for economic purposes—to make certain specific choices, we should reflect on whether the free use of artificial intelligence was truly a gift to humanity.

It is probably not even a matter of having created a special training ground in which we are the test subjects—tens or hundreds of thousands of us—who, free of charge (for the companies), submit to AI every kind of human experience: our shortcomings, our weaknesses, our inconsistencies, and also, why not, our talents and our wonderful uniqueness.

Perhaps—indeed, certainly—the truth still slips through our fingers, because we are little fish who believe the aquarium to be an ocean, and the ocean outside the window of the room where the aquarium sits an unreachable, unthinkable dream.

In any case, I firmly think and believe that giving AI to the people marked the beginning of the end of the internet.
