Now we have the need to slow down
now excellence lies in finding a moderate, slow, thoughtful pace.
Now is the time to do the one thing that artificial intelligence cannot do in its electrical reactions:
to moderate speed.
Can poetry, today,
in this time battered by speed,
be the sweetest expression of the most deeply felt emotion
that embodies the desire to slow down?
And is this slowing down a cry for help for that life which has perceived the thing it lacks the most: living.
